Geri Lynn Arrindell is a graduate of the University of Illinois College of Law where she obtained her Juris Doctorate in 2006. She currently serves as an Assistant Attorney General in the General Law Bureau at the Illinois Office of Attorney General. Prior to attending law school, she earned over 7 years of progressive experience in human services; serving as the Director of Program Services - Community Based Division at The Hope Institute (formerly The Hope School) in Springfield, Illinois. She established and directed the agency’s group homes for children with developmental disabilities, oversaw staff operations, and the development of the program’s policies and procedures. Geri is also a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Her recognitions include: the Springfield YMCA Woman of Excellence Award, Leadership Springfield Association Alumni, and CAU’s School of Social Work Outstanding Student Award Recipient. She is a Life Member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated. In addition to her J.D., she has a Bachelor of Social Work from Clark Atlanta University (magna cum laude) and a Master of Social Work (advanced standing) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is married, with two adorable children. |
