Elaine Harrington is Deputy Director, Fund Development of the Rockford Park
District, the second largest park system in Illinois, and liaison to its Foundation.
She is actively involved in community and regional planning issues through her
work and her volunteer activities. Her organization led the city's winning entry
in the national America in Bloom competition. She earned her Masters Degree
in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Wisconsin and is a member
of Phi Beta Kappa. She was a Precinct Committeewoman and founding member of
Women Electing Women as well as past president of the Greater Rockford
League of Women Voters, from which she received the Mildred Berry Award
for leadership. Her goal is to make or influence public policy related
to healthy communities. |
